Using GIS for the Albanian Census 2018-05-22T10:32:37+00:00

Project Description

Albanian Census

In 2011 the census of Albanian population was the first large statistical operation conducted in the country, with an extensive use of geospatial tools in all the phases: pre-enumeration, enumeration, and post-enumeration.
The Albanian Institute of Statistics (INSTAT), in collaboration with us, used GIS technology to create repeatable models to define enumeration areas, as well as to create map books. It was also developed a Web GIS Application to monitor, in real time, the census coverage during data collection operations.
